Suat Borazan

Suat Borazan started playing the Darbuka in Germany Frankfurt in 1977. In 1989 the artist moved to Egypt to further develop his darbuka technique and to play with the greatest of Arabic music. Suat Borazan had the privilege of playing in the orchestra of the singer Mohammed Fuat in Cairo, who is known throughout the Arab world.
After further developing his own technique in Cairo, Suat settled in Istanbul in 1990. There he accompanied the most famous artists of Turkey and was allowed to record the Darbuka on numerous albums for artists such as İbrahim Tatlıses, Sibel Can, Orhan Gencebay, SerdarOrtac, Ajda Pekkan, Kibariye, SelamiSahin, Candan Erçetin, Yıldız Tilbeand Haktan.
In 2001 he founded the Harem DarbukaRhythm Group. The "Harem" albums 2, 3, 4 were produced by him. Due to the popularity of the Harem project, the albums have been sold in 55 countries with recordsales of over one million.
In 2003 Suat Borazan started another successful project based on the meeting of DJs and him as a Darbukaplayer. Numerous live performances follow. The best DJs have performed with him on after parties and weddings ever since.
In 2004, he supported the world-famous music company Steinberg in developing a percussion plug-in program called Wizoo Darbuka and recorded 50 different, common Arabic and Turkish rhythms.
In 2005 he recorded various darbukasounds and patterns for the keyboard manufacturer GEM General Music.
In 2006, he signed a promotional contract for the world-famous Remo Percussion company for their darbukaseries.
In 2012, the world-famous German percussion company Meinl was the first drum manufacturer to name a darbuka after Suat Borazan. This high-quality darbuka has since been sold across Europe with the SuatBorazan label. In 2021, the outstanding percussion company Tycoom started to work together on various projects with Suat with the main focurs of developing new professional darbukas made out of wood.
The artist Suat Borazan has always worked internationally and continues rhythm courses and workshops in many institutions and organizations.
