Robert Vilera Jr “Robby Vilera”, was born in Queens, NY. Raised with two master percussionist (Robert Vilera Sr, Lilubeth “Lilu Pink” Vilera) music was Engraved in his blood, Robert Vilera Jr “Robby Vilera” first started playing professionally at age 11 touring with many church ensembles in Miami, FL. At that same age he had performed in his top concert ensembles in middle School and received numerous recognition awards for his musicality. In high school Robert took his craft and went on to being Drum Captain For His High school Marching Band were he and his Drum line one Best Class in Percussion in one of the top class drum lines in Broward County back to back years (2014-2015). In his senior year of high school he recorded music videos with Carlos Vives Ft Marc Anthony (Cuando Nos Volvamos a Encontrar) and Canvas (Caramelo), He was also Accepted For The four week performance at Berklee College of Music, Robert went on to Stage Manage for Luis Enrique and Drum tech for his Father. Robert Vilera Jr Also won Two Back to Back EMMY Awards with The Miami Dade College Film Score Orchestra (2016-2017) for best film Scores. He’s also recorded with Marc Anthony, Juan Jose Vilera (Vilera Son) And Robert Vilera Sr (A Palo Limpio) on their Disc’s. Robert Vilera Jr “Robby Vilera” Also Has His Own Company Which he shares with his family (VileraProductionsLLC), at age 16 He had his own Personal Band Called “RV Band” That currently still Tours all over the world, Robert Vilera Jr “Robby Vilera” Graduated From Miami Dade College with His associates Degree and Currently studies at The University Of Miami Frost School Of Music where he will obtain his Bachelors and Master Degree In Film Score Writing and Conducting. He’s also performed at Carnegie Hall with the Miami Dade College Film Score Orchestra. He’s performed with Master Federico Britos and his ensemble at the Koubek Center numerous times. He’s worked with artist such as Chino & Nacho were he MD and played drums for, Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Canvas, Luis Enrique, Bato-Always, Iakopo And many Others. Robert Vilera Jr “Robby Vilera” Style of playing is Gospel, Jazz, Funk but he is versatile with his Craft and can play Latin, Rock, Salsa, and anything. His passion And Hunger For Greatness Comes from His Grand Father (Juan Jose Vilera), He played a big role in his life and helped shape him into the musician he is today. Robert Vilera Jr “Robby Vilera” also composes and arranges music for Orchestra and Big Bands, Robert Vilera Jr “Robby Vilera” is always working on bettering his craft, studying, and most of all Striving for Greatness.
