Rolando Ramos

Largely self-taught, Rolando’s professional career started in 1974 and took off in the 1980’s when he was a member of Bobby Rodriguez y La Compañia. Since then he has performed and toured with: Pete “El Conde” Rodriguez, La Sonora Matancera, Hector Lavoe Orquesta, Celia Cruz, Jose Alberto “El Canario”, Ruben Blades, Eddie Palmieri, Luis “Perico” Ortiz,  Nestor Sanchez, Frankie Ruiz, Johnny Rivera, Junior Gonzalez, Van Lester, Johnny Pacheco, , Miguel Quintana, Rey Reyes, Santiago Ceron, Frankie Negron, Orquesta Broadway, Alfredo De La Fe, Jose Mangual Jr. Jimmy Bosch,  McCoy Tyner, Siglo 20 , Charanga America, Mambo Lebron Orq. King of Latin Soul Joe Bataan! Groups from Puerto Rico Also Include; Lalo Rodriguez, Paquito Guzman and Tito Rojas! Rolando has toured with salsa sensation Marc Anthony, and was the bandleader & musical Director for Nora the Japanese vocalist formally of Orquesta De La Luz as well as the bandleader & Director for pop-star Brenda K. Starr. In the 1980’s Rolando recorded with the following Artist: Bobby Rodriguez y La Compañia, R&B Artist’s Bobby Brown, as well as Colonel Abrams.  In the 1990’s he recorded with Luis “Perico” Ortiz, Cheo Feliciano, & Chrissy I-Eece, and Rob Rose from the west coast. In 2001 he recorded the CD Son 80’s live in S.O.B’s with singers Adalberto Santiago, Hector Casanova, Santiago Ceron and Rey Reyes. In 2004 he formed his own group Son Del Ayer classic music from the 60’s & 70’s.
